In the State of the Municipal Address Lerato Maloka (Executive Mayor: Lesedi Local Municipality) outlined the municipality’s future plans for the municipal area.
Projects on the cards are: A R1 billion Aerodrome for Heidelberg, a warehouse port, a vehicle testing and licensing centre in Ratanda, student housing complex next to Sedibeng College, office park next to Heidelberg Library, a youth skills centre, turning the Old Jail into a lifestyle café and upgrading the AG Visser Huis into an information centre and tourism facility.
