The driver of a Nissan bakkie and his passenger ended up in a ditch filled with water next to the R549 at 17:30 today.
According to Ratanda police, the driver claims that another vehicle tried to overtake him. Due to oncoming traffic, he was forced to swerve off the road and lost control.
The accident happened near Ratanda’s main entrance.
The two occupants were not seriously hurt.
