Sedibeng College Heidelberg students threaten to strike
Nonpayment of bursaries and transport are main issues.

About 700 students of Sedibeng College gathered on campus grounds yesterday and threatened to strike if their grievances are not adhered to. The students are complaining about the college failing to pay out bursaries, transport allowances and other fees.
Heidelberg SAPS kept a close eye on the students while the Human Resource Manager of the campus negotiated with the group.
They dispersed peacefully at around 14:00.
Police will monitor the situation closely for the rest of the week while negotiations are still ongoing.
