Armed robbers target Heidelberg

Three robberies reported within 24 hours.

Armed robbers targeted Heidelberg over the last 24 hours as three seperate incidents occurred in this time.
Two robbers pretending to be service providers persuaded a domestic worker of a house in Marais Street to open the gate at around 10:15 yesterday morning. They overpowered her and tied her up while ransacking the house. The suspects sped off in a white Nissan X-Trail.

This morning at around 09:00 three suspects entered Ackermans in the Shoprite Centre in Voortrekker Street. They went straight to the cashiers and pointed a firearm at them. They ordered the employees to open a cell phone display cabinet and empty the contents in to their bags. They fled in a Toyota Tazz.

In the third incident three robbers entered Sportscene in Heidelberg Mall at around 10:30. They followed the same modus operandi and fled with an undisclosed amount of cell phones and various brands of tekkies. It is believed that the suspects fled in a silver Mercedes Benz vehicle.
