Man sustained serious injuries in accident outside Heidelberg

The accident occurred just after 08:00 this morning when a Corsa bakkie tried to overtake a Ford bakkie.

It is not certain what transpired, but the vehicles bumped against each other’s sides and a man who was sitting in the back of the Corsa was flung head-first against the door frame of the Ford.

He sustained serious injuries to his head and was stabilised by paramedics on the scene before being transported to hospital.
