Be sure not to miss the performance of local artist JTthevoice in Ratanda this Saturday
JT Tshabalala is a pop music artist from Ratanda who at only 25 years of age, is determined to become a well-known and recognised name in the music industry.

He will be launching his first CD titled Thopi (in memory of his mother who passed away 10 years ago) during a big event this Saturday (December 23).
JT already has a fan club of hundreds of people and said he is looking forward to the big event, which could bring him closer to realising his ultimate dream of one day receiving gold status. An artist only receives this prestigious honour after selling 25 000 copies of his music album.
JT’s first music experience dates back to his younger years growing up in Ratanda, where he used to sing in a church choir. He attended Kgoro Ya Thuto Primary School and completed his high school career at Kudung Middle School in Grootvlei. He comes from a musical background and said his uncle was part of a local boyband for many years, which in 2012 inspired him to also become part of a boyband named ‘Technical Image’. Over the years, they performed at numerous local and international festivals, but JT is at the point in his life where he wants to focus on a solo career.
“I am humbled by the fact that I am able to bring out my first ever solo album. Many people are involved in the process, but if not for my God-given singing voice, it would not have been possible. I have decided to dedicate 10 songs on the album to my late mother, one for each year that she has been missing from my life. Each song is therefore of great significance,” JT said.
He invited fans to follow him on social platforms under #jtthevoice.
