Crime walk creates awareness among Ratanda residents

Members of SAPS Ratanda social crime, crime prevention, Ratanda CPF, CPF Youth Desk and SANCA Heidelberg participated in a 10km fun walk on May 30.

The purpose of the event was to promote awareness of crimes such as housebreaking and theft within the various policing sectors of Ratanda.

During the fun walk, pamphlets containing valuable information and safety tips were distributed from door to door.

Police spokesperson Const Moss Maluleke said the event was a resounding success as there was good response from the community.

 

He added that there will be more initiatives of this nature to create awareness on crime.
