MEC kickstarts school year in Duduza

MEC for Transport Jacob Mamabolo and other officials kick-started the new school year at Nimrod Ndebele Secondary School in Duduza on Monday.

The Back-to-School campaign for basic education started with a visit from the MEC for Transport, Jacob Mamabolo, when he and other officials visited Nimrod Ndebele Secondary School in Duduza on Monday.

The MEC and other officials from the Department of Education and the office of Ekurhuleni mayor Mzwandile Masina were received by staff members at the school.

The school’s staff, led by school principal Billy Mashiane, indicated their readiness for the year by taking the dignitaries on a walk around the school’s premises.

The dignitaries were shown the plans the school has in place with regards to Covid-19 compliance, school safety and the curriculum.

The campaign was also attended by the Duduza SAPS station commander, Lt Col Bheki Mhlungu, the MMC for human settlements in Ekurhuleni, Ndozi Shongwe, as well as the CPF, Youth Desk and representative from the Department of Community Safety.
