Heidelberg SAPS members spend day with children

Police members spent time with the pre-schoolers to educate them on bullying and playing safely.

Heidelberg SAPS sector commanders and rural safety coordinators visited the Krabbel en Babbel Pre-School in Overkruin last Wednesday.

The objective of this initiative was to build a good relationship between the police and children.

They aimed to educate children about bullying, to abstain from playing with dangerous weapons such as knives, to play safely, to avoid playing away from adults and to avoid playing with electricity.

The little ones were encouraged to report all illegal activities to adults.

A highlight for the children was getting into a police vehicle and listening to the siren.

Police visited the pre-school to educate children on bullying and about playground safety.
