Crime-prevention operation conducted in Heidelberg

The main objective of the operation in the Heidelberg policing area is to conduct police visibility.

The Heidelberg Crime Prevention Team, acting Vispol commander, Vispol Support, Social Crime Prevention coordinator, VFF coordinator and communications officer took to the streets of Heidelberg on Wednesday for a crime-prevention operation.

The objective of the operation was to conduct visible policing, to reduce common robberies, to look out for suspected drug dealers and stolen items, as well as to prevent business robberies.

The station’s Crime Prevention Team will also conduct vehicle control points at identified hot spots, where motorists and passengers will be checked for level one Covid-19 regulations and the National Road Traffic Act.
