Burst pipe causes water frustrations
Labuschagne stated that technicians are currently on site and busy with repairs to the damaged pipe.
NIGEL – The water interruption that has left most households in town with little to no water since yesterday evening (February 19) is due to a burst pipe.
The pipe located in Springs’s Road in town, has been the cause of numerous water interruptions in the past. The previous pipe burst happened on February 1.
According to Ward Councillor, Wollaston Labuschagne, technicians are currently on site and the replacement of the damaged pipe would take a few hours.
“It seems that repairs should be done by early this evening,” Labuschagne stated today (February 20).
Labuschagne also stated that the main water line will be replaced or moved in the coming months as soon as the necessary funds are available.
