The latest edition of operation Okae Molao was held on March 3 in the Ratanda and Heidelberg areas.
Heidelberg SAPS station commander Col Phiwe Ndwandwe said, “Everyone needs to work together to tackle the crime crisis in Heidelberg.”
With different stakeholders working together, the members present were divided into different groups to tackle crime and problem areas within Heidelberg.
There were roadblocks on the N3 weighbridge, and a focus on drug and narcotic offences, illegal immigrants and undocumented persons, second-hand goods, illegal liquor operations and illegal operations of spaza shops.
During the whole operation, SAPS ensured all Covid-19 regulations were adhered to.
