Business owner rams robbers’ vehicle

Four men made off with various goods after robbing a business, but the owner gave chase.

A general dealer in AG Visser Street, Rensburg, was robbed at gunpoint on April 26.

It is believed four robbers looted the business of various items before speeding away.

The business owner immediately contacted a private security provider.

Not waiting for the SAPS to arrive, however, he chased after the robbers in his own vehicle.

He caught up to the robbers on Groenfontein Road near the Heidelberg Mall and rammed their vehicle.

It is understood the occupants ran in different directions when they jumped out of the vehicle.

Security companies, the CPF, as well as the AfriForum Heidelberg branch all are believed to have assisted in the search for the perpetrators.

It is not clear if any arrests have been made.
