The African Gospel Church in Ratanda arranged a sports day where the community enjoyed a day out.
The sporting events were held at Ratanda Sport Stadium and there was soccer and netball action on the day.
The aim was to get the community involved in supporting the teams, encourage camaraderie and have an enjoyable time.
Furthermore, organising committee spokesperson Caroline Tsele, Mpiyakhe Khubeka and the Pastor Eddie Mkhize of African Gospel Church wanted the community to remember their past, live in the present and work towards a brighter future.
“This initiative was a joint initiative and everyone worked well to ensure the day was a success,” Tsele said.
