Ratanda SAPS have asked the community for assistance in locating a person sought as a suspect in a murder.
It is alleged that on May 7, three friends were enjoying themselves at a tavern in Ratanda at about 22:30 when a Zimbabwean man entered the tavern looking for his girlfriend.
The couple went outside. It is alleged the two started fighting and the suspect assaulted the female.
The three friends who were with the girlfriend went outside to assist her.
The couple drove off in a blue Toyota. The driver then made a U-turn and sped toward the friends and bumped one of the men before speeding away.
The victim was taken to hospital where he died.
It is thought that the suspect worked at a nearby construction site, but after the incident did not return to work again.
