Indulge but don’t lose control over the holidays

When drinking alcohol, try lighter beers or wine instead of fruity cocktails.

Many people will be indulging in tasty foods this holiday. It is entirely fine to let your appetite lose this festive season as your family prepares tasty meals or go out to eat more often.

Here are some ways to ensure that you enter the New Year with a similar waistline:

• Try and go for a walk or run at least once or twice a week- these don’t need to be far or particularly intense, just and try and build up a little sweat.

• Try and avoid sugary drinks and drink more water.

• When drinking alcohol, try lighter beers or wine instead of fruity cocktails.

• Switch up a salad instead of full course meal from time to time.

• Regulate your appetite by ensuring you eat breakfast every morning

• Exercise- push-ups or sit-ups are great for calorie burning.
