HEIDELBERG – The Christ Embassy Greater-Heidelberg Church, under the leadership of pastor Bhekinkosi Nhlapo, rewarded four Grade Seven learners from Sthokomele Primary School in Ratanda with laptops.
Various dignitaries were at the hand-over ceremony, including Sibongile Moloi (DCES – educational psychologist, Ekurhuleni North district), Checky Mkondwane Makhuvhele (Public Ordinary Schools – School Improvement Planning – provincial head office, Gauteng Department of Education), France Mokolokolo (Directorate: Institute of Student Service Professionals, Sedibeng East district, Gauteng Province Education Department), Archie Mokonane (Sedibeng District Municipality councillor) and apostle Frans Manganye (Ratanda Christian Church).
Each learner received a new laptop, recognising their hard work and dedication. The learners are Simelane Ayandiswa – 83.56%; Mventshane Iviwe – 86.11%; Malimela Siphosihle – 86.89% and Masondo Bonakele – 86%.
Each learner achieved nine distinctions. The laptops gifted by the church serve as a symbol of encouragement and support for the hard-working learners.
“We hope it will empower Simelane, Mvetshane, Malimela and Masondo to continue striving for excellence in their academic pursuits,” said Nhlapo.
The four learners will attend Ratanda Secondary School this year.
