Nigel businesswoman shines as Mrs Bold 2025 finalist
Through her charity work, leadership, and community involvement, Mangera hopes to bring the crown home while continuing to inspire and uplift those around her.
Resident and business owner Zulfah Mangera is a finalist for Mrs Bold 2025, a platform which honours beauty and strength and celebrates the diverse experiences of women from all walks of life.
Established in 2023, the Mrs Bold organisers aim to create an empowering platform for married, divorced, widowed and single women with children to showcase their achievements, talents and contributions to their communities.
The event is more than just a pageant; it embraces community, culture and various causes. Zulfah’s journey to become a Ms Bold finalist started with her being sashed in June to become a finalist.
“I knew I was stepping into something powerful, but I did not realise how deeply it would shape me. Even before the event, I had a goal I wanted to accomplish. I want to make my mark in what I do and also make a difference.

“As a founder of the People for Passion, I have been entrusted with a mission far greater than myself. It is to serve, uplift and build bridges of hope. This journey has been nothing short of extraordinary,” said Zulfah.
“I have discovered strength I did not know I had, and during the road to where I am today, it has reminded me of the beauty of the local community.”
Some of Zulfah’s highlights as a finalist include her involvement in an annual school programme where she helped create a safe and vibrant space for children to grow, learn and dream, with opportunities for creative expression woven into the learning journey.
She also played a role in the annual women’s conference, The Rise of Her, which brought women together to celebrate strength, connection and generosity. The event raised funds for charities and inspired change in the community through the sharing of stories and collective action.

In addition, her ongoing charity work, whether mentoring youth, supporting families or building systems to restore dignity and stewardship, remains rooted in love and purpose, reflecting her commitment to uplifting others.
“It has been a personal growth through pageantry and enabled me to develop character and leadership. It is a sisterhood that has evolved into lifelong friendships, where everyone comes from different backgrounds but is united by a single purpose. It has also taught me to represent my community with pride and excellence,” said Zulfah.
The final and crowning ceremony is on November 8 at Gold Reef City. The winner will represent sub-Saharan Africa on the international stage through the Woman of the Universe partnership.
“This is not just my journey; it is ours. I hope to bring home the crown for every woman who ever dared to rise, every child who needs a champion and every community ready to shine,” concluded Zulfah.
