Heidelberg District Taxi Association’s school adoption programme delights learners with uniforms
Students at Ratanda Secondary School and Khaya Lesedi Sports School of Specialisation received a boost to their confidence and school spirit when Heidelberg District Taxi Association donated uniforms and school shoes as part of its school adoption programme.
Learners at Ratanda Secondary School and Khanya Lesedi Sport School of Specialisation were all smiles on February 16 after a generous donation of school uniforms and shoes from the Heidelberg District Taxi Association.
Selected learners received uniforms and shoes, helping to ease the financial burden on families while boosting these young people’s confidence and self-esteem.
Chairperson Tshepo Molaba said the association visited the schools as part of its School Adoption Programme, which aims to support learners and promote a positive learning environment.

“Investing in our learners is about showing them that their community believes in their potential and cares about their future. When children walk into school with confidence, dressed with dignity, they are more likely to engage, participate, and strive for success.
“We hope this gesture inspires them to dream bigger and reach higher, knowing that they are supported every step of the way,” he said.

Molaba also reiterated the importance of giving back.
“Giving back to the community is at the heart of everything we do. We believe that every act of generosity, no matter how small, can make a difference in someone’s life. Supporting our learners not only helps them today but also plants the seeds for a stronger, more hopeful future for all of us,” he said.
