Electrical meter boxes vandalised in Rensburg

Vandals and criminals targeted Heidelberg in the past few weeks.

Rensburg has been badly affected due to various electrical meter boxes stripped of cables leaving residents in the dark for long periods.

In the last week, six-meter boxes have been damaged and vandalised.

The streets with damaged boxes include Jopie Fourie, DF Malan, Vlok, Walker, Zuid and Nel.

There have also been reports that dogs have been poisoned in the area.

Residents are requested to report all suspicious activity, loitering and vehicles in the neighbourhood to Heidelberg SAPS at 016 341 0343, 071 675 7396, 071 657 7292 or 071 657 7296.
