Five armed suspects robbed Rissik Street residents on August 24 at about 06:20.
According to reports, a resident went to pick up his workers in Ratanda Ext 23.
When returning home, the employees turned on the victim and tied him and his wife up. The suspects then went to the safe, took a firearm and cellphones and fled the scene.
The Heidelberg SAPS is investigating the robbery and looking for the suspects.
Security companies Crimestop, Silver Security and AfriForum Heidelberg were on the scene.
Reportedly, a white VW Polo followed them as a getaway vehicle. CCTV footage picked up the car slowly driving past the house.
There were no injuries.
