Nigel SAPS is appealing to the public for information after an unknown man was found dead along the R42 Delmas Road. Police are investigating an inquest and are seeking assistance to identify the deceased.

Police are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying an unknown man whose body was found along the R42 Delmas Road on July 6.

According to Nigel SAPS, upon arrival at the scene, police found the body of the man lying on his back on the left side of the road.

The deceased was wearing blue jeans, a grey sweater and one black safety boot. His other foot had no shoe or boot, but only a sock.

Police reported that the man was bleeding from his ears and nose, but no visible injuries were found on his body at the scene.

An inquest docket has been opened, and investigations are underway to establish the identity of the deceased and the circumstances surrounding his death.
