Educating learners about health and safety

Educating the youth is a stepping stone.

Heidelberg SAPS Social Crime Prevention visited Bertha Gxowa Primary School in Ratanda on February 10.

Social crime prevention worked together with the departments of education, health, and road safety.

The visit aimed to address and educate learners regarding safety, cleanliness and health hazards.

A cancer awareness campaign was conducted and the learners were educated on cancer and how it affects families.

The learners were further educated on the role of the police in the community and the importance of safety in school.

Heidelberg SAPS will be visiting more schools to promote school safety in the weeks to come.
