Nigel SAPS hold awareness campaign
Several crime-related subjects were the focal point of the awareness campaign.

The Nigel SAPS and other stakeholders held an awareness campaign on November 14.
The campaign, held on the corner of Balfour and Devon roads with a vehicle control point (VCP), mainly focused on safer festive season tips, alcohol and substance abuse, domestic violence and GBV.
Members of the Nigel SAPS, the Nigel SAPS Vispol commander, Social Crime Prevention, communication, the domestic violence co-ordinator, GBV volunteers, patrollers, Crime Prevention, the Gauteng Crime Prevention Wardens and the Department of Community Safety conducted the VCP and crime awareness campaign.
During the campaign, they told the community to be cautious when withdrawing large amounts of money, especially stokvel withdrawals.
The law enforcers distributed pamphlets on stokvel withdrawals, GBV, domestic violence and substance abuse.
The VCP also conducted searches on vehicles and passengers.
