SAPS share valuable lessons with learners
Devon SAPS engaged learners on various sensitive topics.
Devon SAPS paid a visit to learners of Nomnekane Primary School on January 22 and shared information regarding bullying, teenage pregnancy, substance abuse and GBV.
Several role players, including Devon SAPS social prevention coordinator and communications officer Constable Yvone Skosana, Vispol commander Warrant Officer Sibongile Ndlela, GBV brigades Thoko Malinga, Lindiwe Skosana, Modiehi Mosia, Prudence Skweyiya, Agape Lerato NGO auxiliary worker, victim supporters Abongile Ndlela and Nomadlozi Hlabathi shared valuable information with the learners.
“Every learner must show respect for where it is due. That includes the teachers, learners, elders, parents and friends. We may come from different families, but at school, we are one big family, ” was Skosana’s advice to the learners.
Schools wanting to accommodate Devon SAPS for a visit may contact Skosana on 071 111 5808.
