Blue Army FC scored a consolation goal in the 85th minute when they were awarded a penalty and scored.
No further goals were scored in the match.

The win puts Cambridge FC second on the log with three matches still to play. The winner of the league will be crowned Hollywood Bets Regional League champion and be in a playoff with the possibility of being promoted to the ABC Motsepe League.

“It is unfortunate that match officials are not consistent with their decisions. The players work hard during the season and then the match officials are overshadowing their performances” said Minhle Dinka Cooper Mthimkhulu, Cambridge FC head coach.

“We want to thank the supporters who travel to every match during the season. It is carrying the team through difficult periods” concluded Ignatius Maphike, the club’s chairperson.
