SAPS visit Ratanda Sethokomela Primary School

Ratanda SAPS and stakeholders spoke about various burning topics.

Ratanda SAPS visited Ratanda Sethokomela Primary School on August 6.

Various stakeholders including Community Safety, Agape, GBV Brigades and DP World were present to interact with the learners who were educated on road safety, human trafficking, bullying, gangs and substance abuse.

The learners were made aware that bullying is misconduct, a violation of the school code, and a human rights violation that could lead to a criminal offence.

Furthermore, the learners were sensitised on self-control, discipline and not using drugs and alcohol at any time.

“We specifically focused on these topics because we noticed a lot of behavioural issues and a lack of social support in the school environment in general,” said Moss Maluleke, Ratanda SAPS communications officer.

The learners form Sethokomela Primary School listened attentively.
