A lapa at a residence on Aster Street, Bergsig, was completely destroyed by a fire on September 10.
According to reports, the fire ignited at about 15:30.
The Lesedi Fire and Rescue was notified and responded promptly, bringing the fire under control. No injuries were reported.
The fire gutted the lapa’s thatch roof and frame, but there was no other damage to the property.
The cause of the fire has not been determined.
