Ratanda SAPS, CPF meet with community

Do not take the law into your own hands.

Ratanda SAPS and the Ratanda CPF held a meeting with the residents of Ratanda Extension 3 at the local community park on April 10.

The purpose of the meeting was to address issues related to crime and criminal activities in the area, and to foster trust and strengthen the relationship between the police and the community.

The SAPS does not want the community members taking the law into their own hands but rather contact the police.

Some of the issues addressed were murders committed in the area, lack of police visibility, feedback on investigations and reporting all criminal offences.

The CPF members were also introduced to the community.

“We as the SAPS and CPF want the community to work hand in hand to curb the crime in the area. Ratanda SAPS is committed to constructing and sustaining a positive relationship with the community,” said Sergeant Moss Maluleke, Ratanda SAPS communications officer.
