Nigel gymnasts soar at Gauteng Festival

Young gymnasts from the Nigel Gymnastics Club represented their town at the Gauteng Gymnastics Festival held from June 13 to 16.

The event welcomed over 1 000 participants from across the province and highlighted rising talent in the sport.

Nigel’s athletes delivered strong performances, earning an impressive 13 gold, 10 silver and five bronze medals.

Several gymnasts also placed in the top 10 of their divisions:

• Iliana Swanepoel: Ninth;

• Maddison Shelton: Ninth;

• Mila Stadler: Ninth;

• Lelanie Maritz: Seventh;

• Dine Erasmus: Seventh;

• Carlia Burger: Fourth;

• Liezl Maritz: Third;

• Luca Dias: Third.

With the 2025 competitive season complete, coaches and athletes now shift their focus to training for 2026.

Nigel Gymnastics congratulated all its gymnasts and looks forward to another season of progress, passion and performance.
