A fatal four-vehicle collision on the R42 left one person dead and four others injured on March 1. Emergency services responded swiftly as traffic was reduced to a single lane while authorities began investigations
An accident on March 1 involving four vehicles left one person dead and four others injured.
The accident occurred about 12km outside Heidelberg on the R42 towards Meyerton.
Two of those injured are believed to be in a serious condition. All injured patients were transported to local hospitals for further medical care.
Heidelberg Volunteer Medics and First Responders, GPG Medical Services, Heidelberg SAPS, Lesedi Traffic and Afriforum Heidelberg all assisted on scene.
