Residents invited to join the fun at Wacky Bowls for Wiggly Tails fundraiser supporting SPCA Heidelberg

The Heidelberg community is invited to a day of fun and charity at the Wacky Bowls for Wiggly Tails fundraiser on May 1

The Heidelberg Bowling Club will be buzzing with fun and community spirit on May 1, as locals come together for the Wacky Bowls for Wiggly Tails fundraiser in support of the Heidelberg SPCA.

Organiser Werner Schipper explained that the highlight of the day will be four wacky sets of three ends each, adding a twist to traditional bowling.

“All funds raised over and above the costs of snacks and lunch included in the entry fees will go directly to the SPCA, helping care for animals in need. In addition, participants can take part in raffles, 50/50 boards, Spider, Corner 2 Corner, and other entertaining activities designed to maximise support for the charity.

“We can host 28 teams or pairs, but everyone in the community is welcome to join in, enjoy a few laughs, cold drinks, and freshly prepared boerewors rolls,” he said.

While no cash prizes will be awarded to maximise donations, a few donated prizes will be available for participants.

The event promises a fun-filled day for a good cause, uniting the Heidelberg community in support of the animals that rely on the SPCA’s care.
