Planned maintenance to disrupt water supply in Rensburg and Lagerspoort

Residents in Rensburg and Laagerspoort are urged to store water ahead of a scheduled 12-hour shutdown as the municipality undertakes critical upgrades to improve supply reliability.

Residents and businesses in Rensburg and Lagerspoort will experience a temporary water supply interruption as the Lesedi Local Municipality undertakes planned maintenance at the Rensburg water pump station.

The maintenance is scheduled for March 30 and will take place from 07:00 to 19:00.

According to the municipality, the work will involve replacing old valves, a necessary upgrade to improve the reliability and efficiency of the local water infrastructure.

Residents in the affected areas are encouraged to store enough water in advance to meet their household needs during the maintenance period.

Water supply is expected to return to normal once the maintenance work is completed later that evening.

For enquiries, residents can contact the municipal customer care centre at 016 466 1900/1.
