Municipal electricians from Lesedi Local Municipality were on the ground on March 23, carrying out streetlight repairs across town as part of ongoing efforts to keep Heidelberg well-lit and safe, particularly in the central business district.

The teams continue to address faulty streetlights daily, resolving outages and restoring lighting in key areas to improve visibility and enhance public safety at night.

Lesedi Local Municipality spokesperson Katleho Seaga said the ongoing work forms part of the municipality’s commitment to service delivery and community safety.

“Our teams are on the ground every day, attending to faulty streetlights to ensure that our streets, especially in the CBD, are properly illuminated. A well-lit environment not only improves visibility but also plays a crucial role in enhancing safety for residents and businesses,” he said.
