Young martial artists from Alra Park are gearing up to compete against the province’s best as they head to Pretoria for the Gauteng Junior Full Contact Karate Championships.

NIGEL – A group of young karateka from the Alra Park Enshin Karate Dojo are set to represent their community at the upcoming Gauteng Junior Full Contact Karate Championships in Pretoria on May 2.

The students will go head-to-head with some of the province’s top junior competitors in what is expected to be a demanding and competitive tournament.

Head instructor shihan German Visser said the team is well-prepared and eager to take on the challenge.

“I wish them all the best of luck. I am very proud of their courage to step onto the mat and face some of the best fighters in Gauteng.

“Their commitment and hard work have brought them this far. The championships offer young karate practitioners an opportunity to gain valuable experience while showcasing their discipline, skill, and sportsmanship on a provincial stage,” he said.
