Mountainview High School athlete Bohang Qhoaisa impressed at the 2026 National High and LSEN Schools Athletics Championships in Pretoria, finishing fifth in the 800m and seeventh in the 1500m in a competitive national field.

Mountainview High School athlete Bohang Qhoaisa delivered a commendable performance at the 2026 National High and LSEN Schools Athletics Championships recently held at Pilditch Stadium in Pretoria.

Competing in a highly competitive field featuring some of the country’s leading school athletes, Qhoaisa secured two top-10 finishes in the middle-distance events, underlining his consistency and competitiveness on the national stage.

He finished fifth in the 800m and went on to place seventh in the 1500m, producing strong performances across both races.

The results reflect a solid showing at the national level, with Qhoaisa maintaining a competitive pace against a strong field of athletes from across South Africa. Mountainview High School governing body chairperson Sandile Mathebula acknowledged the broader support structure behind the athlete’s development.
