Bantsa Foundations calls for sponsors as Ratanda charity drive feeds vulnerable residents

The Bantsa Foundations hosted a community outreach in Ratanda on May 12, distributing warm meals to residents in need while appealing for sponsorships to expand its efforts to fight poverty and hunger in the area.

The Bantsa Foundations successfully hosted a local charity drive in Ratanda on May 12, during which warm soup and bread were distributed to community members in need.

The outreach initiative, which started early in the morning, formed part of the organisation’s ongoing efforts to support vulnerable residents and strengthen community spirit through acts of kindness and compassion. Volunteers worked together to prepare and hand out meals to residents.

Founder of Bantsa Foundations, Bafana Mokgoatsana, said the initiative was established earlier this year to make a meaningful difference in the lives of struggling community members.

“We started the initiative earlier this year, together with the help of my wife and other people who shared the same goal. The main purpose is to help curb poverty, as many people in our communities are unemployed. I’m doing this out of my own pocket because I believe in the importance of giving,” he said.

Mokgoatsana further appealed to the wider community and potential sponsors for support to expand the initiative and reach more people in need.

“We are truly committed to expanding the reach of our work in the community, but to do so sustainably, we are calling on local businesses, organisations, and individuals to come on board as sponsors.

“Any form of support, whether financial contributions, food donations, or resources, will go a long way in helping us reach more families in need,” he said.
