Soul Sisters player selected for Sedibeng U/21 SPAR Champions squad

Lindiwe Sibeko has been rewarded for her strong form with selection to the Sedibeng U21 team, which will compete against the country’s top youth sides in Cape Town.

Soul Sisters Netball Club’s Lindiwe Sibeko has been selected to represent the Sedibeng U21 netball team at the SPAR Champions Tournament, set to take place in Cape Town in August.

Sibeko’s selection comes after a strong run of performances for Soul Sisters, where she has established herself as one of the club’s most reliable and committed players.

Her consistency, work ethic and technical ability have now been rewarded with a place in the provincial squad.

The talented young player will travel with the Sedibeng U21 team to compete against some of the country’s top youth netball sides, marking a significant step forward in her sporting development and exposure at the national level.

Her inclusion has been met with pride within the Soul Sisters setup, with the club highlighting her achievement as a reflection of dedication and perseverance through the ranks.

Sibeko’s selection also serves as encouragement for emerging players within the Lesedi netball structures, reinforcing the pathway from local club competition to provincial representation.

However, participation in the prestigious tournament carries financial demands, including travel, accommodation, playing kit and related competition costs.

Soul Sisters Netball Club has therefore appealed to the local business community and residents for support to assist Sibeko in fulfilling her national assignment.

The club says any sponsorship or donation will help ease financial pressure and allow the player to focus fully on her performance.
