Ratanda Primary School has opened new horizons for learners after recently becoming only the second school in Africa to host the internationally acclaimed SpaceBuzz Educational Programme, exposing learners to the exciting worlds of space science, technology and innovation.

Learners at Ratanda Primary School recently had the opportunity to explore the world beyond Earth after the school became only the second school in Africa to successfully host the internationally acclaimed SpaceBuzz Educational Programme.

The innovative programme brought space science, technology and exploration closer to learners through an immersive educational experience designed to inspire curiosity, creativity and a passion for science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

During the programme, learners were introduced to the wonders of space while gaining valuable knowledge about innovation, scientific discovery and the possibilities of careers in STEM fields.

The successful initiative was made possible through a partnership with Vopak, with the school expressing its appreciation for the organisation’s support in bringing this world-class educational opportunity to Ratanda learners.

Learners embraced the experience with great enthusiasm and completed the programme with a renewed interest in science and technology, as well as a broader understanding of the opportunities available to them in the future.

The SpaceBuzz programme has placed Ratanda Primary School among a growing number of institutions using innovative education to inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers and explorers.
