Heidelberg Hospital launches patient experience survey to improve services

Patients at Heidelberg Hospital are being encouraged to share their experiences as the facility conducts its Patient Experience of Care survey until August 19.

Heidelberg Hospital has launched its patient experience of care survey to improve the quality of services provided at the facility.

The survey commenced on August 13, with acting chief executive officer Senate Sejake guiding patients and clients on how to participate and encouraging them to share their experiences honestly.

Sejake said the survey allows patients to reflect on the services they received from the moment they arrived at the hospital until the end of their visit or stay.

“I think we all understand that experience is based on what you have lived through. Through the survey, we would like to know how you feel about the services you receive at this facility, including the attitude of those who attend to you from the moment you arrive until the end of your stay. A hospital stay is unlikely to be pleasant, but all patients are expected to receive services with courtesy and to feel satisfied with the care they receive,” she said.

The PEC survey will continue until August 19. Patients and clients are urged to participate voluntarily by completing the survey and providing honest feedback without fear of intimidation.

The hospital hopes the feedback will help identify areas that require improvement and strengthen the overall patient experience.
