Female employees from Heidelberg Hospital joined colleagues from across the Sedibeng District Health Services for a special Women’s Day celebration held on August 22 , at Capello Emerald Resort in Vanderbijlpark.

The Women’s Day Sip & Paint event provided women working in the health sector with an opportunity to take a break from their demanding responsibilities and celebrate their strength, resilience and achievements.

Hosted by the Sedibeng District Health Services, the event combined creativity, laughter and meaningful interaction, with participants using art as a way to relax, express themselves and connect with one another.

The gathering also created an opportunity for discussions around women’s empowerment and the important role women play in communities and the healthcare sector.

For Heidelberg Hospital employees, the event offered a chance to step away from their daily duties and spend time with fellow women in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Organisers said the event was intended to honour the phenomenal women of Sedibeng District while creating a space where they could celebrate their achievements and appreciate each other.

The Sip & Paint formed part of the district’s Women’s Month activities, which seek to recognise and celebrate the contribution of women to society.
