Spring celebrations brought to Ratanda Bertha Gxowa Primary
Learners and staff at a local school embraced the new season with colourful activities, defying rainy weather to create lasting memories.
Ratanda Bertha Gxowa Primary School welcomed spring with a colourful Rainbow Picnic on September 4, bringing learners and staff together for a day filled with laughter, fun, and vibrant colours.
The celebration created a festive atmosphere as learners and teachers embraced the new season and enjoyed an opportunity to relax, connect, and create lasting memories outside their usual classroom routine.

Although cloudy weather and rain threatened to disrupt the celebrations, the conditions did not dampen the school community’s enthusiasm.
Teacher Busisiwe Ngubane, who was involved in the school’s activities, said the weather could not take away from the joy of the occasion.

She said it was a beautiful and colourful day filled with happiness, laughter and wonderful memories, adding that although the weather tried to disturb their celebrations, it certainly did not stop them from having a great time.
The Rainbow Picnic also allowed learners to enjoy themselves with their classmates and teachers while celebrating the beginning of a new season.

The school expressed its appreciation to everyone who helped make the event a memorable and colourful celebration.
