NOTICE FOR A WATER USE LICENCE APPLICATION PROCESS FOR WATER USES AS DEFINED IN SECTION 21 OF THE NATIONAL WATER ACT, 1998 (ACT NO. 36 OF 1998) FOR BIG BUILD PROPERTIES (PTY) LTD ON ERF 191, AIRPORT PARK EXTENSION 7, CITY OF EKURHULENI METROPOLITAN MUNICIPALITY, GAUTENG PROVINCE. REFERENCE NUMBER: WU50346. Sustainability and Environmental Consultant (Pty) Ltd has been appointed as the independent Environmental Assessment Practitioner (EAP) by Big Build Properties (Pty) Ltd, hereafter referred to as the Applicant, to undertake a Water Use Licence Application process in terms of Section 21 of the National Water Act, 1998 (Act No. 36 of 1998).
The Applicant intends to apply for a Section 21(a) water use activity for the abstraction of groundwater from the existing borehole at the above-mentioned site. The property is currently utilized for warehousing and logistics operations, the borehole will be used for landscape/ lawn irrigation.
The site covers approximately 25.0041 hectares and is located at coordinates 26 14` 40.19`S and 28 9` 44.70`E, Airport Park Extension 7, Germiston.
