CFC Academy FC faced their neighbours, Sphutla Stars FC on 26 June.
The match formed part of the MAFA league.
The team dominated ball possession throughout the first half but conceded an early goal to their opposing team.
CFC Academy player, Oupa Mbokazi, scored two goals during the first half.
The first half ended with a score of 2-1 for the CFC Academy team.
During the second half, CFC Academy managed to score two more goals, with the Sphutla Stars team managing one other goal.
The match ended with a final score of 4-2 in favour of the CFC Academy team.
“It was a good match,” said chairperson Ignatius Maphike. “I hope that the players learned to never underestimate who they are playing and that they take every game serious.
“We are happy with the win and we remain focused on the goal to develop.”
