CFC Academy plays defensive match, wins game

The club's first team began their preseason on July 19.

CFC Academy FC recently played their final league match against Revival FC.

The match was played at the Mackenzieville Stadium with a lot of support from the local community.

“The match was an entertaining encounter,” said chairperson Ignatius Maphike. “Our boys displayed quality football that kept the fans on the edge of their seats. Both teams brought their A-game, so it was a good display of talent.”

During the first half of the match, the CFC Academy team opened the scoring early but soon conceded a goal to the opposing team.

“The boys didn’t stand back and managed to score another goal before the end of the first half,” Maphike said.

The first half of the match ended with a score of 2-1 in favour of the CFC Academy team.

The second half saw CFC Academy pushing harder and scoring three more goals.
