Nigel Super League champions Tsakane Vultures ready for regional play-offs
After conquering the Nigel Local Football Association Super League, Tsakane Vultures will represent Nigel at the regional play-offs in Boksburg from August 8 to 10, as they pursue promotion.
Tsakane Vultures have secured their place in the 2026 play-offs after being crowned champions of the Nigel Local Football Association Super League.
The team will represent the Nigel LFA at the play-offs, which will take place from August 8 to 10 at WJ Clements Stadium in Reiger Park in Boksburg.
The tournament will be hosted by the Boksburg Local Football Association in partnership with the Central Football Association.
Club chairperson Bhekane Mchunu expressed his pride in the team’s achievement, describing the league title as a reflection of the club’s continued growth and commitment to its football philosophy.

“We are exceptionally overwhelmed with joy at the progress and success of the team. Winning the Super League shows that we are staying true to the culture and philosophy of Tsakane Vultures.
“I want to commend Coach Ndovela for the outstanding work he has done both on and off the field. He always reminds us that this success belongs to the players, both the senior squad and our junior players, who remained committed by attending training sessions and giving their best on match days throughout the season,” he said.

Mchunu also praised the Tsakane Vultures Academy Board of Directors for their professional management of the club.
“The Board has done an excellent job in running the club professionally, allowing the coaching staff to focus on football matters. Their support has played a significant role in our success.
“We urge our supporters and the entire community to come out in large numbers and support us during the play-offs. The fans are our extra player on the field, and their encouragement can make all the difference,” he said.
