Man trapped in vehicle after accident in Ermelo
The driver of the taxi were trapped inside, and were removed by members of ER24 and Msukaligwa Fire & Rescue Services.
A man was trapped in his vehicle after an accident that occurred at the intersection of Voortrekker and Havenga Streets on August 14.
Two vehicles, a taxi and an Audi Q7, collided at the traffic light. The Audi came to a standstill on a curb in the road.
The driver of the taxi was trapped inside and was freed by members of Msukaligwa Fire & Rescue Services using the jaws of life. ER24 personnel assisted in his rescue.
He was placed on a stretcher, transported by ambulance, and admitted to the hospital.

The cause of the accident is unknown.
ER24, Msukaligwa Fire & Rescue Services, the traffic department, local SAPS, Star of Life, ETS Towing Services, and Van Wettens Towing Services were all on the scene.
Traffic in the area is congested as one of the cars partially obstructs two lanes.
