Elephant calf rescued from rock crevice

Thanks to the speedy help of a group of men, the elephant calf could be reunited with its mother shortly after the rescue.

A group of men recently came to the rescue of an elephant calf when it found itself in a difficult situation.

According to Hoedspruit Elephant Rehabilitation and Development (Herd), the incident took place in the Zimbabwean Lowveld. The men were able to lift the elephant from the hole, which clearly was not an easy task.

Thanks to the men’s quick response, the calf was able to reunite with its mother, who was waiting nearby.
