Metro police headquarters move to Kempton

The process commenced on May 23 and it is anticipated that it will be concluded by the end of June

EKURHULENI Metro Police’s headquarters had been relocated from Bedfordview to the central business district of Kempton Park.

According to Chief Superintendent Wilfred Kgasago, metro police spokesman, top management and its auxiliary sub-divisions will now be situated in City House (old council buildings) on the corner of Margaret and Long streets.

The process commenced on May 23 and it is anticipated that it will be concluded by the end of June. The units will occupy the second, third and fourth floors of the building.

Kgasago said the move was a strategic decision that law enforcement be located in close proximity to the nucleus of the Aerotropolis, OR Tambo

International Airport, which is a key national point.
