Marimba Festival at Tom Newby in Benoni

The annual International Marimba and Steelpan Festival takes place at Tom Newby School in Benoni on July 30 and 31.

Though the main focal point of the festival is a series of competitions, which has about 1 600 participants/performers this year, it is well-rounded as there are fun activities for the whole family. The festival has a little craft market where one can purchase interesting musical items as well as all sorts of crafts and meals.
